Administrative Services Manager

My Photo

The vintage coin dispenser in the photo reminds me of the ongoing importance of the tools of my trade.  From A-bacus to X-cel spreadsheets, the resources and methods may change but the goal remains the same – to give people and communities the opportunity to work together and prosper.

What I Do:

My role is rooted in the practical: bookkeeping, financial records, budgets, reporting and grant tracking, but as Coordinator, my reach extends into other areas such as Commission secretary, Friends Society administrator, facilities management, HR liaison, clerical staff supervisor, proofreader, and event planner.

What I Bring:

With a background in business management and bookkeeping for small enterprises and non-profits, in addition to a lifelong involvement in the arts, including writing, dance and theatre, I bring a balanced approach to the NVMA. I also try to see challenges to learn, not obstacles to overcome. As a former docent, I have a history with the Museum & Archives.

What I Enjoy About North Vancouver:

I love the sense of community and the affinity for our natural surroundings that most North Vancouverites share; whether it’s a love of the ocean, mountains, forest or rivers, each of us has something that brings us closer to nature and the community which has built up around it.
