All Gentlemen and Gentlewomen...

“Two lawyers, two land surveyors, three bankers, one botanist, two electricians, three salesmen, two railway men, two exporters, two nurses, seven stenographers, one meteorologist, three printers, one piano tuner, two real estate men, all gentlemen and gentlewomen.”* The clothing worn by mountaineering club members at their 1913 camp at Garibaldi seems as diverse as their professions. Each climber has adopted a singular approach to garb – yet all are ready to climb. (But you have to wonder about the purpose of the basketball...)
