Beans, Beans...
When British Columbia Mountaineering Club members organized their first annual camp in 1910, they chose to go to Mount Garibaldi. Participants learned much from the experience, including how to tie knots and rope up on a glacier, also how rough-and-tumble soccer is played in an alpine meadow. Cooks learned something too, that preparing beans at high altitude is difficult – in consequence the group continuously emitted reports of indigestion.
