Risk Assessment

Climbing mountains means you must embrace nature in many ways. The heights lure you on, challenging you to test yourself, and reward your success. Risks surround you at every moment. The face of danger can emerge in an instant - from the elements, from your gear, faulty judgment – or from a companion’s slip. You must always be prepared to respond when situations unravel. Alice Purdey is shown practicing a crevasse rescue in 1966.
